Partnerships and Collaborations

Project New Village is program component of Children Having Children, Inc. It seeks to establish and maintain a community support network of organization and individuals working together to create and sustain a healthy community in southeastern San Diego .

The Community Wellness Campaign consists of cultural events to promote wellness by connecting residents with community health resources. The events include the Cesar Chavez Community Tribute, the Health Pavilion at the San Diego Praise Fest and Community Kwanzaa. We also support a resident diabetes support group, World AIDS Day activities and Earth Day.

The People's Produce Project is an ongoing community organizing effort to bring resident owned community gardens and a farmers market to Southeastern San Diego. Organizing efforts began October of 2008.

The Southeastern San Diego S.H.I.F.T. Alliance was formed in early 2007 in response to a call for collaboration and coordination for existing Family Life Education for Youth and Adult residents in the area neighborhoods. It is our goal to provide quality education, outreach and referral services.

Overcoming Gangs and Beyond - A community-driven, locally developed group with a solid reputation in Southeastern San Diego as a leader in combating gang involvement, crime and violence.

San Diego Black Health Associates - The mission of the SDBHA is to enhance the health status of African Americans in San Diego County.
Alternative Healing Network - Their mission is to promote the use of integrative healing arts and improving their accessibility in under-served communities.
