Ways To Support the work
Most importantly, we need the support of individuals who believe in the power of micro-finance, who understand the echoing effect of a contribution, and who desire to be a nurturing element in the most crucial phase of raising consciousness and laying the foundation for positive social change.
Contributions of $25 - $5,000 ☼ At the ground level the ultimate goal is to root and strengthen the critical beginning phase of grass-roots community building and assessment
Contributions of $5,001 – $10, 000 ☼ At the transformative level , the goal is to implement growing spaces to replace blight, abandoned or unused real estate; to assess the earth for readiness to grow; and to train new generations of farmers
Contributions of $10,001 – $15, 000 ☼ At the sustainable level , once rooted and ready, the goal is to sustain the work over time. Examples - cover the regular cost of operating a community garden for a year or the cost for community programming at the farmer's market for a year
Contributions over $15,000 ☼ At the expansion level , the goal is replication of best practices; exploration of opportunities for innovative approaches to environmental stewardship and more
Every contributor will be recognized for their support, unless otherwise indicated. Additional ways for individuals, corporations, faith-based groups, civic clubs and non-profits to get involved include:
Volunteer Teams
Organize members or employees in volunteer teams, and contribute time to neighborhood tree plantings, maintaining community gardens, or cleaning vacant lots. Some of our partners offer in-kind supplies or services, helping to reduce the agency's out-of-pocket expenses.
Grants
Another way corporations can get involved is though grants – which can either help underwrite the agency's operating expenses or provide funding for specific projects such as community gardens; edible landscapes, small scale farms, farmer's markets, educational programs, and advocacy efforts.
Sponsorships
Additional recognition for supporting the Community Wellness Campaign events and projects include:
$100 level per event / activity – recognition as sponsor on event program;
$250 level per event / activity – recognition on event program and as sponsor on written promotional materials;
